Yellow News: Yellow is the New Giallo

This season, we’re giving you a hint as to what’s hot and here at Killer Aphrodite Entertainment, we’re feeling that Yellow is the new black.  Writer and director, Ryan Haysom, is creating something truly spectacular in the form of a 15 – 20 minute short film, which is called Yellow.  This short film is going to take us back to a whole different era, the Giallo era, which gives us a whole lot of horror and gore, whilst keeping it tasteful and at the same time giving us a thrilling plot that will linger in our minds for a good amount of time.

Unfortunately making films, even short films, are extremely expensive and although we try to help out where we can, sometimes it’s just not enough. Time and time again we give some exposure to those independent filmmakers we feel are worthy of getting the help and Yellow is definitely one of those films that NEEDS to be made.  Thus far 3 minutes of footage has been shot and what we’ve been presented with in the trailer/plea looks absolutely spectacular.

Synopsis: “YELLOW is the story of a man obsessed with hunting down a vicious serial killer committing a series of gruesome murders across the neon lit city of 1980′s Berlin.  At its core, YELLOW is a character study of human frailty and the discovery of dark secrets.”

What YELLOW Needs and What You Get:

They are aiming to raise 4000 pounds to support the production’s final costs that is needed to bring the film to life. Your pledges and donations are vital in enabling the production crew to finish Yellow.

These costs all adds up very fast and it will be impossible for them to finish this without you! In return for your generosity, they have created an assembly of limited edition Yellow official merchandise to thank you for your support.

As a supporter of Yellow, you will not only receive priority screening privileges when the film is completed, but also lobby cards, DVD’S and very limited edition VHS copies. IMDb, and Executive Producer credits.

Every donation is appreciated; the makers have come up with a list of incentives to help you discover where you best fit as a supporter. This list ranges from ‘A Blade In The Dark’ to full-fledged ‘The Argento’!

So, this sounds good, right?  Well, if you are interested in backing this short film, then head on over to the film funding page, where you can find even more information on Yellow and what it has in store for the future.
