Cocktail - a spicy Bollywood title – is set to hit Ster-Kinekor Theatres’ big screen on 13 July 2012 at Ster-Kinekor Theatres Gateway and The Zone in Rosebank. The movie and its sound track have received rave reviews in the international press with review sites saying that “Cocktail is the best album released since Rockstar. The best of 2012 so far. A complete package.”

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail is a concoction of friendship, love and lust between three best friends. Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) is the quintessential bachelor enjoying the fruits of being single. He flirts harmlessly with women and stays far away from commitment. His best friend Veronica (Deepika Padukone) also lives life by the minute, enjoying it to its fullest. Into their lives comes Meera – a coy Indian girl, jilted by her lover, alone in an unknown city, looking for shelter and friendship. The three become friends and start living together. However, things become complicated with friendship turning into love. The three find themselves in a veritable cocktail of life and relationships.
To add to the Cocktail mix is a soundtrack that is sure to top the charts with music by Pritam, who collaborated with Irshad Kamil, Saif Ali Khan and with the director Homi Adajania. The mix between Western and Indian melody is a perfect fusion. Songs to look out for are “Tum Hi Ho Bandhu”, “Daru Desi”, “Tera Naam Japdi Phiran”, “Main Sharaabi” and the one that stands out above the rest, composed by Pritam “Love Aaj Kal”.
