John Passarella was able to create, what can only be deemed, as the perfect premise to a Supernatural feature film, if they ever made it. With enough action to keep those action junkies entertained, some gore for the horror lovers, paranormal and supernatural activities that will get your blood pumping, and the two brothers that audiences have come to love, it’s magic! What’s more is that it will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout… Heck, we even have Lucifer making his disturbing little appearances to Sam! Yes folks, if you haven’t gotten enough of Supernatural on TV for Season 7 yet, get your hands on Supernatural: Rite of Passage by John Passarella, because it’s set in between episodes and will give lovers of the show a lot of thrills.
Enjoyable, to say the least, I couldn’t put it down when I started to read it. Obviously, I am a fan of Supernatural and with the prior knowledge of the hit show, I was intent on judging the book without being a bit harsh… However, I found it surprisingly fun and the lack of editing errors (I found one in the whole book and I’m a VERY close reader) made it so much more difficult to find fault. There was a great way of describing the scenes, without over-description finding its way into the novel and frankly, the balance was adequate enough to act as a great companion to the show. Supernatural: Rite of Passage by John Passarella is a must-have for any Supernatural fan. With its twists, turns, monstrosities and everything “Supernatural”, which makes the show, you’ll be able to curb your cravings in between seasons easily by reading this book. Also, the damage that is done during the action scenes, is so very epic, I’m surprised that the town in New Jersey would have been standing afterwards…
