Celebrity guests will be a key attraction of Rapture Horror Expo as it kicks off its first ever horror convention. Today, the first guests have been announced. It’s a mix of celebrities who are all familiar faces to horror movie fans.
This year the original 1992 “CandyMan” takes center stage with Tony Todd, making his first appearance with WTF Events at Rapture Horror Expo. Tony Todd has also had roles in many other horror, slasher, and supernatural films such as; the Final Destination movie franchise, The Prophecy: Forsaken, Blood Wars, and Splatter. Todd also has been in hits such as Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, The Rock, and Platoon. Actor Tyler Mane will also be making his first appearance with WTF Events at Rapture Horror Expo. Tyler has had many roles, including Sabretooth in X-Men, Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween, and Jeremiah Carver in the TV series Chopper. Actor Jake Busey will also be making an appearance at Rapture Horror Expo, and giving convention guests the ultimate horror fan experience with the opportunity to view The Frighteners (1996), in which Jake Busey has a starring role as character “Johhny Charles Bartlett.” Jake Busey has also played roles in many other horror movie hits such as; Identity, Hitch Hiker 2: I’ve Been Waiting, and Tales from the Crypt. Actor Jamie Kennedy will be a special guest during the Expo. Creator of the Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Jamie is also known as the movie buff and geek Randy Meeks from Scream 1, 2, and 3. With his experience of appearing in and starring in a multitude of TV and movie roles, Jamie Kennedy will certainly add his own style and pizzazz to the Rapture Horror Expo. Child zombie from The Walking Dead TV series, Addison Miller, will be making an appearance to meet fans and will be pairing up with make-up artist Connor McCullagh during a panel to show extreme and horror make-up effects. Connor McCullagh is the season one winner of SyFy’s make-up reality show, “Face Off.” He has also done make up work on the recent blockbuster movie, “The Hunger Games.” Plus Special appearances by the current season of SyFy’s hit reality show “Face Off” Contestants including Tommy Pietch. “Face Off” is a reality show completion to find the most talented makeup artist in films today. The new season premiers August 21 on SyFy Bio channels hit show “My Ghost Story” Producer and Indy film maker Christofer Sanders will be at the Rapture Horror expo sharing insights from the other side.
In addition to the celebrity guests, Rapture Horror Expo will be filled with many other activities for all ages. There will be live music, tattoo artists, creepy classic car shows, blood drive, zombie prom, contests and much more.
The Rapture Horror Expo will also have various events planned to help our community at large. Scares for Cares will be helping out by hosting an event to raise money, toys and other items to help sick children. United Blood Services will be here as to raise awareness about the need for people to donate blood and providing opportunities for guests to donate blood.
WTF Events’ Rapture Horror Expo will be held from Friday, October 5th to Sunday, October 7th at the Mesa Convention Center located at 263 N Center St in Mesa.
