Due to an incredible amount of books that gets submitted for reviewing purposes, Killer Aphrodite Entertainment unfortunately needed to make a few policies regarding the submission process for books, films and other material. Please read these guidelines and follow them, otherwise we might reject your submission.
Books:
We get a lot of e-book submissions and unfortunately we cannot keep up with them any longer. Therefore, unless stated otherwise by the owner, we will no longer be accepting any e-book submissions for reviewing. Killer Aphrodite Entertainment apologises for any inconvenience in this particular matter and although we are aware that there certainly are gems within the rough, the “bad” outweighed the “good” and we can no longer keep up with our review pile when it comes to e-books. However, we will still be accepting printed copies of books for reviewing and our turnaround for reviewing them is 30 days upon receiving the book.
Films:
We’ve been getting a lot of films to review, especially via links to Vimeo or Youtube. Now, we will still be accepting short films in this format, but due to the amount of films we “should be watching” this way, we will never have enough bandwidth to actually use our computers to type up reviews. Killer Aphrodite Entertainment has to apologise in regards to this, but sadly we will have to ask for screeners. We understand that this is costly, but it’ll make it much less painful to the reviewer and also speed up the process of getting your film processed.
Independent Advertising:
Independent advertising is always a bugger, but if you’re an author or a filmmaker and you want to promote on the site, then feel free to get in touch via the contact page. Our prices are as follows:
Leaderboard Ad (728 X 90 px) – This ad will likely be at the very top of the page or at the footer and will cost you $100 per annum or $10 per month.
Skyscraper Ad (300 X250 px) – This ad will be in the sidebar of the website and will cost you $80 per annum or $5 per month.
We also handle advertising for companies and have special arrangements for said companies.
Please keep in mind that Killer Aphrodite Entertainment is a business, however we don’t ask any money from you to review your books and films and we don’t ask you money to promote your work. We simply need to make you aware that we are humans too.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Submitting your queries are as simple as one, two, three. In other words, just email webmaster@killeraphrodite.com with your query and we’ll get in touch with an address and such. However, keep in mind that this site is based in South Africa and it does take up to three weeks for packages to arrive via snail mail. Thankfully, you’ll be able to reach a whole different audience along with your usual suspects (UK and US audiences). It’s definitely worth that extra dollar in expenses. As for the rest, we’re a family and we’ll keep you close to us if you keep us close to you… it’s not simply a review, it’s a close-knit group of people that will always be there to give you a hand…
